Hi, I am Karen!

Hey, Karen Ortega here! I was born and raised in Guayaquil, Ecuador. I made my big move to the US to go to college in Springfield, MO. I loved my time there, but I was ready to move to a bigger city, so I packed my bags and moved to Orange County, CA. I lived there for two years and enjoyed all the LA/West Coast things.

But, my boyfriend of 9 years now still lived in Missouri and I missed the Midwest kindness, so I found myself a corporate job in St. Louis and moved… again. But, we are here to stay and I have learned to love this city and all the things it has to offer.

Almost two years ago, my brother and I decided to start a business together. We noticed there was a lack of reasonably priced, high quality handmade goods. So, we got our brains together and started a boutique on Etsy: Truly Bien. Fast-forward to today, and we still have our shop, but we are looking to expand our offerings. Stay tuned!

Since I have always been so passionate about fashion, wellness and beauty, and love dressing up, I thought it would be a great complement to add a lifestyle blog to our brand. So here I am writing my first blog post (eeeek!). You can also follow me on Instagram @livetrulybien for even more content. I am really excited to share with you all things fashion, style, wellness, food, make-up… just about everything that I wear, use and enjoy! I cannot wait!

When I am not working or sharing my life with you on my blog and Instagram, I love hanging out with my doggie, Annie Hall (a cute 20lb Boston Terrier mix), going on date with my boyfriend, reading running and re-watching all my favorite shows (#notsorry).
