Datebox from Happily

Because of social distancing there are not that many things that Drew and I can go out and do. So, I asked my bestie Google what activities we could do indoors and I came across Datebox from Happily. If you have not heard of this company before, they specialize in curating “a date night in a box”. Every month they ship you a box that is packed with all of the materials, talking points and ideas needed for a date night at home. It sounded fun and easy, so I signed up and waited two weeks for the box to arrive.

Without further do, this was our experience:

We opened the box before our “date night” because we were so curious, but the contents were hidden behind a cardboard that contained clues and listed extra things we would need for our date. I loved this because it prevented us from seeing what the activities were.

Once we were ready for our date, we fully opened the box and were excited to find out we were cooking a pizza! We received a pack of flour, a yeast packet and a couple of fun Italian card games. We also got access to an exclusive Spotify playlist to listen to during our date night at home.

The date lasted a couple hours since we had to cook the pizza and play the card games, which were surprisingly easy and fun! We did have to buy tomatoes, cheese and tomato sauce, but I am sure most of you already have these items at home.

I want to say that I really loved this experience because this is something that we would never do on our own. The fact that the box comes with pretty much everything you need and easy-to-follow instructions made this a great night. We filled out a questionnaire with our preferences for a date night (adventurous vs. romantic, competitive vs. relaxing) and Happily nailed it!

The subscription costs $39.99 per month (1 box per month). They offer month-to-month, 3 months, 6 months or 12-month subscriptions. The longer you commit to, the less expensive the monthly box costs. They also offer a digital subscription (no box shipped to you) for $7.99/month.

I highly recommend this subscription, especially during these times since we spend so much time at home. I promise you and your boo will have so much fun!
